Gate-crashing before a Chinese wedding is a tradition that is fun for the sisters and brothers, and also serves as filler in the wedding video to make audience laugh before immersing in the romance of the newly weds.

Of course, traditional meaningful games like酸甜苦辣 challenge or make-up challenge are perfectly apt, since there’re meanings to the game.

But when gate-crashing is way too over, it might just have serious consequences. Last year, a brother was hospitalized after a gate-crashing game—definitely not a good start for the newly wed.

So, as fun as it is, and as traditional as we want to be, there are some games that really should be banned, for the safety of the bothers and simply because it’s silly. Here’re a few!

I’m not referring to the 酸甜苦辣 challenge, but a challenge for the groom and brothers to down some ridiculously hot stuff within one minute. Seeing them burning their tongue is fun?

Shouting “I love you” or anything from afar
Of course it’s romantic, but considering the fact that usually gatecrash occurs early in the morning on a weekend, you can bet that there’ll be at least five sleepy people in the flat cursing you.

Crazy poses
The idea of this game is just so that the sisters can laugh and take Instragam-worthy images. Sounds fun until someone fall and hit his head, of course.

Clothes pegs on body
Whether it’s pegging them on their ears or their mouth, it’s a recipe for disaster: while you think all it entails are pain, someone’s ear might just be pulled off. Just saying, you know, but why cause physical pain when it’s all fun and smiles?

Waxing with tape
Yeah, the pained looks on the brothers are priceless, but is it really worth it? I mean, it’s fun and all, but waxing is as painful as being stabbed. That’s what I think, and that’s what most of them think as well when they hear the rules of the game.
