Okay, this might be a pretty one-sided story, and since the LTA officer vs Uber driver has shown us that we Singaporeans and Malaysians don’t exactly believe in a one-sided story, this is still pretty interesting because most of us would have this experience.
In Malaysia, Selangor, close to KL, a girl decided to have her hair dyed in a salon that we won’t name (it’s in Sepang). She got a quote of RM600 (about SGD$200), which is relatively expensive in Malaysia, even if it’s in a city. That would include both the colouring and the treatment, as she claimed that she had got pretty dry hair so would require treatment after that.
She told the hairdresser that she just wanted the ends of her hair to be dyed, but when the hairdresser dyed the hair near her ears, she asked why that was so. The hairdresser told her to trust his professionalism, so she let go at that.
A few hours later (hours?! The last I know, it takes about 30 minute for the colour to sink in…), when everything was done, she got the shock of her life: she saw how dry her hair was.

The hairdresser then told her that she needs more treatment, but she was convinced that nothing would be able to help. So, she confronted them and they requested RM440 instead of RM600, saying that they had not charged for the treatment. They did not apologize for that,
So, this was the result of RM440 and seven hours of work. What do you think?
