Okay, if you’ve not noticed yet, some writers in the office are fans of Malaysia Charbor, Joyce Chu. When we came across this video of 四葉草 singing two songs in Taiwan uploaded by eTV行動傳媒, we couldn’t resist playing it in the office. After all, it has the best of both worlds – Malaysia Charbor and 小幸運.
She started with an English song, I’m Yours by Jason Mraz with her playing on the guitar. Then she launched into 小幸運 with her teacher playing the keyboard accompaniment. It could be due to nerves, or it could be due to the number of cameras flashing, but it was apparent that she was nervous as hell. Even her teacher said so as well. And plenty of netizens left nasty comments on the video, saying that she’s just lucky and she doesn’t know how to sing at all.
We’re of the opinion that she faltered due to nerves. Because you’ll notice that when she’s singing the English song, she has to focus on playing the guitar and singing, which made her tune out the audience. But when she has to sing 小幸運, she didn’t have anything to distract her from the reports and flashing cameras.
Because we’ve seen her sing live with Namewee before, and she sounded good then even if there’s a couple of hiccups at the beginning.
But that’s just our opinion though. What do you think?
